Terms of Service
Effective 6 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of myhouse (the “service”), a free, non-commercial app run by an individual (“we”, “us”). By signing in you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
myhouse lets groups of people (“houses”) share expenses, shopping lists and plans. It is provided free of charge, for personal use. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it at any time, and will try to give reasonable notice where possible.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 and sign in with your own Google account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your devices secure. Only invite people you trust to your houses: every member of a house can view and edit its content.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you and the members of your houses. Don't add content you don't have the right to share, or other people's personal data without a good reason.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no illegal activity, no attempts to access houses or accounts that aren't yours, no interfering with or overloading the service, and no automated scraping except through features we provide.
5. Balances and AI features
Balances, totals and suggested settlements are calculated from the data you enter and are for convenience only. They are not financial, tax or legal advice. Check amounts before paying anyone. AI drafts (lists, receipt totals) can be wrong; review them before saving.
6. Third-party services
myhouse relies on Google for sign-in and Cloudflare for hosting and AI processing. Their availability and terms are outside our control. Links such as “Add to Google Calendar” open other services under their own terms.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost. Keep your own records of anything important.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, money or profits arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability is limited to €50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using myhouse at any time and leave any house from Settings. You can ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app about significant changes. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
12. Contact
Use the support email shown on myhouse's Google sign-in screen (tap the app name there).
